You know I love sending my clients somewhere and then getting the full debrief when they get back. That’s the good stuff. And when Cat came home from Sandals St. Vincent, she did not disappoint. Detailed. Honest. Zero filter. Exactly what I needed to better inform the rest of my clients until I can make the trip myself..
Here’s everything she shared, in her words and mine.

St. Vincent is not your typical Caribbean resort destination, and the views make that very clear very fast. Cat’s exact words? “Mountain views AND ocean views is my jam from now on.” There’s something refreshing about getting away from our beloved flat, ocean-forward spots. St. Vincent gives you something you don’t see at Sandals Barbados or Sandals Curacao — dramatic volcanic landscape backdrop plus the sea. That combination is genuinely stunning and worth noting if you are the type who want scenery that feels cinematic.
Cat was 6.5 months pregnant during this trip, which tells you a LOT about how she assessed the walkability of this property. Her take: manageable enough that she wasn’t exhausted getting around, but big enough that if it’s warm out, you’ll be sweating by the time you reach the spa on the other side of the resort.
For my able-bodied clients who aren’t navigating pregnancy, this is a non-issue. But if you or your companion has mobility considerations or just really don’t want to hoof it in the Caribbean heat, flag it. The resort isn’t massive, but it’s not a quick loop either.
Real talk from Cat: the airport transfer is prompt — no complaints there. But the road situation? Rough. She needed a double dose of Dramamine and she’s not being dramatic (pun intended). St. Vincent’s roads are what they are. If you are sensitive to motion or car sickness at all (like me!), this is a heads-up you depart, not after. It’s giving St Lucia. I’ll be adding this to my pre-trip communication going forward.
No complaints, no caveats, just good old-fashioned hospitality. Cat noted the staff was not only friendly but genuinely engaging — sharing island history, remembering faces, making her feel like a person and not just a room number. This matters more than people think, and it shows in how guests talk about a property long after they’ve left.
Soft sand. No rocks. Easy access. And apparently Sandals St. Vincent, similar to several other Sandals properties, has these circular float situations where two people can lay on them together and drift in the water. That’s cute and I’m into it. The beach sounds relaxed and low-key, which tracks with the overall vibe of the resort.
Cat visited Sandals Curacao in 2025, so she is already familiar with the cuisine at this hotel brand. Her verdict: the food here is just as good, which is a compliment because Curacao’s food situation is solid.
A few standouts:
The jerk shack is apparently not to be slept on. She called it delish and I trust her palate.
Butch’s Steakhouse is on property, and she was able to snag a reservation — which isn’t always guaranteed. She preferred the Curacao location slightly, but also acknowledged that a 9 PM reservation is a different dining experience than an earlier seating. If you want Butch’s, definitely book as early as possible.
There’s also a restaurant with a salad bar and fresh pizza that she loved, and she specifically noted the salad component was something Curacao didn’t have. Points for variety.
Due to baby-soon-to-come, she couldn’t offer any insight on the adult beverages.
Cat & Ken were booked in a Lady Palm Club Suite with Media Room and Balcony Tranquility Soaking Tub. She enthusiastically described it as apartment-sized, with a couch long enough to actually lay on. The balcony had an overhead fan and privacy curtains for when you want to be outside but not on display, which is a thoughtful detail. They were on the second floor and still had a solid mountain view.
One thing worth noting: the buildings are low-rise. Cat mentioned that even the couples in the oceanview rooms she spoke to weren’t exactly right on the water. Keep that in mind when setting expectations around “oceanview” during the quoting process.
The bathroom was the other highlight — large shower, double sinks, and a tub. No notes.

Cat is not exaggerating when she says it was the best massage of her life. And that is a big deal when you’re growing another human in your body!!! She bought the products the massage therapist recommended on the spot (for pregnancy-related swelling in her feet and ankles), and she said they’re actually helping. She would have booked another treatment if time allowed.
For any traveler who values the spa experience, Sandals St. Vincent’s spa is a MUST.
Cat described this as an easy process, good selection of options, $150 for the day. If you want a dedicated spot to set up camp for the day, it’s a straightforward add-on. (I love a cabana!!)
The TV doesn’t connect to Netflix. Cat couldn’t have cared less. Ken was annoyed. Know your needs!
The vibe is relaxed. Ken joked the average guest age was around 62. Cat, six months pregnant and clearly on her own peaceful frequency, was perfectly fine with it. It’s not a party resort. If you are looking for a high-energy, turn-up atmosphere, St. Vincent probably isn’t your destination. If you want quiet luxury, good food, and to actually unwind? This is it.
Cat did point out the humor in Ken’s position: he doesn’t want quiet, but he also doesn’t actually want to be surrounded by the rowdy crowd either. Some travelers are going to have to figure out what they want and then commit. I love that she said this. It’s a real thing I navigate with couples all the time.
Cat said she wishes she could’ve stayed longer and would come back immediately. That’s the review. That’s all you need. When a client who was 6.5 months pregnant, motion-sick from the ride, and still calls it one of her favorite trips — you know the property is doing something right.
