Save the Date 2024

In January, I had the exclusive opportunity to attend a weeklong destination wedding conference in Riviera Maya Mexico, hosted by one of my most trusted travel partners, Classic Vacations. This event was only opened up to 40 travel agents across the country; travel agents who focus their businesses on planning destination weddings at Caribbean and Mexico all-inclusive resorts. I was honored to be accepted as an attendee!

The event started at Margaritaville Riviera Maya, which was our host resort for the bulk of the week (4 days). During the day, we heard from industry experts, fellow agency owners, and various hoteliers throughout the Caribbean and Mexico. They shared their knowledge about destination wedding trends, the latest offerings in terms of packages and venues at the properties, and best business practices for our individual agencies. Every evening we attended a “Wedding Crasher” event at a neighboring resort to experience a mock wedding and reception. (A little bit of partying too!) On our last full day of the event, we completed site inspections at three resorts in Riviera Maya. It was a busy week – definitely not designed for R&R. I was working, y’all!

I’ll break down each resort experience in future posts, as well as recap my two day “post-FAM” at one of the most fabulous all-inclusive resorts I’ve ever visited. I returned from this event feeling completely re-energized, which tends to happen when I’m surrounded by fellow agents who have a passion for this travel world. I learned soooo much and I’m ready to help more couples making their destination wedding dreams become a reality! Let’s gooooo!!!
