BVB Clients Featured in Essence Magazine!

In mid 2017, I (Bon Voyage by Barbour, just in case you were wondering lol) was contacted by a friend/client whose destination wedding I had coordinated and booked earlier that year. She had joined her chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated in 2008 with 36 other ladies and they were planning to celebrate their 10 year “DeltaVersary” with a trip to an all-inclusive resort. We started the planning with somewhere “international”, and the ladies decided on Panama as their country of choice. After pricing out two resorts in Panama that I knew would offer them beach access, plenty of dining options and the right atmosphere, they chose Dreams Delight Playa Bonita by AMResorts and the booking process was underway!! I worked with an amazing rep at Apple Vacations who was with me the entire step of the way, and in April 2018, seventeen ladies of “The 37” made their way to Panama City, Panama.

During the planning process, I linked the ladies up with the resort photographer in order to schedule a photo shoot. Upon their return, these FIERCE photos that they took at the resort began appearing on social media and caught my attention immediately!

They didn’t just catch MY attention, however, as these beautiful ladies were featured on Essence Magazine’s “Global Sisterhood” feature on January 11, 2019. Seriously how awesome is THAT?!? I saw one of the ladies post the link on Friday and I squealed!

I’ve received a ton of love from these wonderful ladies since their trip and am working on a 25 year DeltaVersary for March 2019. It was such a privilege to put this together and create such a powerful memory for all of them. And for Essence to recognize them? Chile what?!? They DESERVE.
