As a Black and Puerto Rican woman, I bring a unique and valuable perspective to my work. I'm proud to be one of the few Black-owned destination wedding agencies, serving a diverse clientele with a deep understanding and appreciation of different cultural traditions and nuances.
I love coffee and prosecco, but not at the same time. They both fuel my passion and creativity, but let’s be honest it’s mostly the bubbly.

I'm Carla Barbour, the founder of Bon Voyage by Barbour. With over 12 years of experience in travel planning, I bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to every journey I craft. As a former destination bride myself, having tied the knot in beautiful Mexico, I understand firsthand the excitement and challenges that come with planning such a significant event. This personal experience allows me to truly empathize with couples and ensure their big day is nothing short of spectacular.
In addition to my wedding planning expertise, I am also a licensed clinical social worker. This background has equipped me with exceptional skills in managing stress, handling difficult situations, and providing empathetic support. My training helps me stay calm and composed, always ready to listen and find the best solutions for my clients.

Fill out our intake form on the contact page to schedule your consultation.
We’ll schedule a time to meet, allowing us to get to know you, hear your love story, and learn about your wedding vision and current planning progress.
I will discuss how we can bring your vision to life and explain our process in detail.
After you pay the consultation fee, I will begin researching potential destinations and resorts for your wedding.
You’ll receive a vision board featuring photos and videos of 4-5 selected resorts to help pinpoint your preferences.
Once we have the prices and you choose a resort, I will assist you in securing your wedding date and room block.
I’ll be the main point of contact for all travel-related matters for your guests, minimizing your stress.
